Underground Vaults & Storage Acquires R3store

This acquisition expands the offerings of UV&S to include Digital Services, supporting one of its largest client

industries, Film and Entertainment. R3store Studios has expertise in tape digitization, film scanning, grading,

restoration, and preservation, offering comprehensive services to safeguard and revive cinematic treasures. The

restoration process includes innovative technology and meticulous craftsmanship, along with traditional techniques

to achieve optimal results.

 

Jo Griffin, co founder of R3store, will lead the division as Digital & Restoration Director and a team of award winning

industry professionals will continue with the company. Says Griffin, “I cannot wait for R3store's next steps alongside

UV&S. The prospect of coordinating our resources, expertise and talents ignites a sense of anticipation for the

innovative strides and standards of excellence we can collectively set within the industry.”

 

R3el is the footage licensing branch of R3store Studios and boasts an extensive library of digitized and restored stock

footage, making them available to film makers and commercial enterprises through its website.

 

UV&S has ambitious plans to replicate Digital Services in the US and expand upon them at its existing locations soon.

Founded in 1959, Underground Vaults & Storage, a full service records and information management company, has

rebranded as “UV&S” to better represent the varied services and subsidiaries it holds. UV&S supports clients

worldwide and provides secure storage and NAID certified destruction, offers event and festival branding, design

and show construction through UV&S Event Services, and UV&S Technology provides IT support and data center

hosting services. From its corporate headquarters in Hutchinson, KS, UV&S operates from locations in the United

States, United Kingdom and France. UV&S is best known for its flagship salt mine facility in Hutchinson, where it

stores millions of items 650’ underground for some of the largest companies in the world, including those in the

motion picture and television industry.
