Appointed Framework Partner for the BFI

Oct 21 2025

We are proud to announce that we have been appointed as a framework partner for the British Film Institute (BFI) for Film Scanning, Mastering and Restoration Services.

As one of only two companies in the UK and the only one in England selected for this three-year framework, R3store will continue supporting the BFI’s mission to preserve and digitise the UK’s film heritage.

Over the years, our team has collaborated with the BFI on a range of fantastic projects, including Dance Craze, Gregory’s Girl, Big Banana Feet, Children’s Film Foundation, Short Sharp Shocks, British Transport Films, Ghost Stories, and Play for Today. Each restoration brings new life to films that have shaped Britain’s cultural story.

Jo Griffin, Digital & Restoration Director, said: “We’ve had the privilege of working with the BFI for over ten years, and it’s a real honour to continue that partnership through this new framework. The BFI’s commitment to preservation and access aligns perfectly with our own we’re thrilled to keep supporting their mission to safeguard and share Britain’s film heritage.”

The BFI plays a vital role in preserving the nation’s moving image history and ensuring that future generations can experience it. R3store is proud to contribute to that legacy through this continuing collaboration and we look forward to the next project together.
